Christmas Break Shenanigans

Kylie had her first Club Volleyball tournament...she played great and they ended up 2nd place.   We LOVE having friends on her team!!

Lexi got asked to babysit for 2 full days 7:30-5:30 so on the second day we decided to break up the day for her a bit and take hm to the zoo.  Fun to have a boy for a couple days!

Cousins got to have a sleepover at Nana and Papas...

and we finally celebrated new years with our cul de sac friends.  They party every year but we usually have other plans...this year the girls decided that's where they wanted to be and we had a GREAT time!! Sadie got a little power nap outside from 9:30-11:30 and woke up just in time for the grand finale fireworks show.  Poor Ty had to work the block party as usual!

Sadie's birthday

Sadie's most very favorite Christmas present was her very own library card!! We made sure to put it right to use for her bday.   We also got to go on a date with her to Chick fil a and dairy queen (all on Saturday because her birthday fell on a Sunday)

on her actual birthday we got up and went to nana and papas where the cousins had come to visit.  We had so much fun hanging out with BJ and Shannon, Sam, Brodi, and Hannah this last week.  We sure miss having them live here so we soaked up as much of them as we could last week...especially Sadie.  The Hildts invited us back over to their house for dinner on Sadie's birthday...so it was a day surrounded by lots of family!

(Some of Sadie's favorite bday gifts...lots of candy from her sisters because her year of no candy is almost up...pink high top converse... and lots of American girl doll stuff)

Christmas at the Cabin

We were so excited when SNOW was in the forecast for the whole week of Christmas... and a little bummed when the chances slowly decreased.  We kept watching and waiting deciding when to go up and whether or not to stay for Christmas.  I'm so glad we went up because not only did we get snow on Christmas...we had lots of family time to play games, watch Christmas movies,  make Gingerbread houses and sugar cookies, play in the snow and just be together as a family.  We were so happy nana and papa could join us for Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas day!!
